What is Google Play credit?
Google Play credit is a prepaid amount for your Google account. Once redeemed, it sits as Play balance and is used first for purchases in the store – no credit card needed on file.
What can you buy with it?
Apps and games, in-app purchases, subscriptions, books, and films you rent or buy through Google Play. In a family group, the balance only applies to the account that redeemed the code.

Mind the country
Google Play codes are country-locked: a euro code works in a Google account with a matching country setting, which you can check in the Play Store settings.

Yes. Sign in at play.google.com/redeem and enter the code – the balance shows up on your phone straight away.
How long is the credit valid?
Credit added to the account does not expire. Just keep the code itself safe until you have redeemed it.
