What is Xbox credit?

Xbox credit is a prepaid amount for your Microsoft account. Once redeemed, it sits in the account and covers purchases in the Microsoft Store – no credit card needed on the console or PC.

What can you buy with it?

Digital games, add-ons, in-game currencies, films and series, and subscriptions such as Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Because the credit belongs to the account, it works the same on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows.

Which amounts are available?

Mind the region

Xbox codes are region-locked: a euro code works with a Microsoft account from the same region, which you can check in your account settings.

Does it work for Game Pass?

Yes. Account credit also covers Game Pass subscriptions billed through the Microsoft Store; on renewal, existing credit is used first.

How long is the credit valid?

Credit added to the account does not expire. Just keep the code itself safe until you have redeemed it.
